Bisam Care Foundation Supports At The National Hospital

Ten Cancer patients, at the Cancer Unit of the National Hospital, Abuja, received cash donations from Bisam Care Foundation on the 5th of May, 2023.

This is inline with one of the objectives of Bisam foundation, “Financial support for Cancer Patients and the critically ill”.

The Foundation promised subsequent donations to the unit.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Samson Osagie, said Cancer Patients need all the Support they can get, considering the financial and emotional involvement in its treatment. 

Bisam Care Foundation was established in Honor of the memory of late Olabisi Amenze Osagie, Wife of Dr. Samson Osagie.

(who was a  very charitable woman).

Bisam Care was borne out of the need to reach out to Cancer patient and those who are critically ill in the society.

Patience Anthony, expressing gratitude, she was one of the cancer patients who received financial support from Bisam Care Foundation.

Early detection, can reduce the huge burden of Cancer management .

Earlier, Dr Festus Igbinoba, 

The Chief Consultant, Oncologist Department, National Hospital Abuja,

Highlighting the need for early detection of Cancer. 

He said when  Cancer is found very early, it does not require much, only a simple surgery to  cut off the growth. But when it get to the advanced stage, not only surgery is required, but chemotherapy(often several chemotherapy) and radiology

Dr Igbinoba was advising when   Bisam Care visited the National Hospital Abuja in May 2023, to give financial support to some Cancer Patients.

He also thanked Bisam Care for the great work they are doing to ease the financial burden of the critically ill in the society.

Cancer management is often  a big burden financially, especially when not detected early, as it is the case often in this part of the world.
