Bisam Care Foundation Showcases Compassion and Support for Cancer Patients

On April 9, 2025, the Bisam Care Foundation visited the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) to offer financial aid and support to cancer patients. This heartwarming gesture was part of the foundation’s 3rd-anniversary commemoration of their beloved patron, the late Mrs. Olabisi Amenze Osagie.

A Day of Outreach and Support

Led by the Chairman Bisam Care Foundation and Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Edo State, Dr. Samson Osagie, the team distributed cash donations and essential items to cancer patients in the oncology ward. Each patient received N100,000, along with toiletries and nutritional aids. Dr. Osagie encouraged patients to stay positive and fight on, emphasizing that survival is possible.

The Foundation’s Mission

The Bisam Care Foundation was established in honor of Mrs. Osagie, who demonstrated remarkable compassion and generosity towards cancer patients during her lifetime. Even while battling her own illness, she supported others in similar circumstances, inspiring the foundation’s mission to continue her legacy.

Impact and Gratitude

The Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Dr. Darlington Obaseki, expressed gratitude to the foundation for their thoughtful support, describing the act as commendable. Beneficiaries of the financial assistance and other items expressed deep gratitude, saying the gesture brought hope and relief.
