Chairman Bisam Care Foundation and Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Edo State, Dr. Samson Osagie has made a passionate appeal for extensive investment in cancer treatment. He emphasized that such investment would enable cancer patients to live normal lives. This call to action was made during an event organized by the BISAM Care Foundation at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital’s Oncology Department.
The event marked the third remembrance of his late wife, Mrs. Olabisi Amenze Osagie, who battled triple-negative breast cancer for 11 years. Despite her illness, she continued to support other cancer patients, inspiring the foundation’s activities. The BISAM Care Foundation was established two years ago in her memory, after she passed away on April 10, 2022.
Osagie highlighted the importance of sustaining the gesture of supporting cancer patients. He believes that living a life without supporting others is not worth it, and that their foundation’s activities will keep her memory alive. The Edo State Government’s Ministry of Health and Edo State Hospitals Management Agency are key players in the state’s healthcare landscape, and Osagie’s appeal aligns with their efforts to improve healthcare services.ยน
